At 18 feet, the T-Rex is one of the tallest single-lane slides we carry, and the extra three feet over a 15-footer is not a rounding error β it is the difference between a slide kids ride and a slide kids talk about. A sculpted tyrannosaurus arches over the climbing wall with the slide lane running out beneath it. The splash pool detaches completely, which turns one purchase into two configurations: wet in July, dry in October.
The detachable pool is the feature that earns its keep over a season. Unzip it and the slide runs dry into a landing mat, which means the unit works for indoor gymnasium events, fall festivals, and school fun days when nobody wants to be soaked. Rental operators price those two configurations as separate products; homeowners just get twice the calendar. The trade-off is one extra assembly step and one extra thing to align, which is covered in our comparison of attached and detachable pools.
Height changes the physics. An 18-foot drop generates real speed, and the T-Rex handles it with a longer runout than the 15- and 16-foot slides in the range β the lane keeps descending well past the point where a shorter slide has already flattened out. That extended runout is what bleeds off velocity before the rider reaches the pool. It also means the unit's footprint is longer than people expect, so measure the length of your yard, not just the width.
The dinosaur theme is the most requested character concept in the category, and it is worth understanding why that matters commercially: themed units book at a premium for the specific parties they suit, and dinosaurs are the rare theme with a decade-long run rather than a two-year licensing window. Unlike a licensed character, a generic T-Rex never goes out of print and never raises a trademark question.
This unit is currently on pre-order. Pre-order pricing is locked at the listed figure, and units ship in the order reservations were taken as each container clears. If you are buying for a specific date, contact us before you reserve so we can give you a realistic window rather than an optimistic one.

Your unit is reserved from the next inbound container at the price shown. We do not charge a premium for reserving, and we will give you a shipping window before you commit rather than after.
Budget two to three minutes each way. The pool separates at a zip-and-clip seam; the slide runs dry once it is off and the landing area is matted.
The age range above starts at 6 for a reason β the drop is genuinely fast. If your riders are mostly under 6, a 13-foot slide is the better buy and your kids will use it more.
Dry operation is what the detachable pool is for, but indoor use depends entirely on your ceiling height. At 18 feet inflated, most gymnasiums do not clear it. Measure your ceiling first.
